JOHN'S NOMINATION STATEMENT

Theatre is in my blood. With professional parents I spent my childhood backstage. It fired in me a passion for the creative arts with a moral compass for embracing those who had something to say or who wanted a place for their writing, performance and art. The Nomads helped that passion grow and I believe the wonderful gift we have in our theatre should be a key asset in our community, delivering amazing productions to secure the future of the building, delight our guests, and create a home for actors, dancers, musicians, writers and directors.

With my colleagues Graham and Samantha, I bring an equally passionate group ready to take on leadership roles across Artistry, Front of House, Youth Theatre, Community Engagement and Marketing.

Our theatre can come back to life with popular drama, comedy, musicals and lavish Christmas productions on the main stage. Then the Studio, a space for short runs of challenging, topical and classic productions. We will embrace our long standing members by providing them with excellent productions and a wonderful guest experience, whilst rejuvenating Nomes to bring the next generation back through dance and acting groups. We will reconnect with the artistic community to deliver an outlet for education, growth and exploration. We will put the guest at the heart of what we do with brand and digital reflecting their needs.

You have my word that I do this for the love of our theatre and what it means to you, our members and our community.
